RIA CASSANDRA SILMANE
apprentice of the imperial battlemage

IMPERIAL | MAGE | SHE / HER

Ria Cassandra Silmane was an Imperial mage born on the 17th of Sun’s Dawn, 3E 360. She was the first child to poverty stricken stonemasons in Camlorn. She was an unplanned child, and was treated as such. When she was 3, her younger brother was born. While he was also unplanned, his birth was a cause for celebration, as a son would be worth more to them than a daughter. As Ria grew, she began to show a proclivity for magic, and expressed interest in becoming a mage. However, due to their poor financial situation, the young girl’s interest was discouraged. At the age of 15, her dreams of becoming a mage would be answered, as a priest of the local Temple of Sethiete would show interest in her. He arranged a deal with her parents, purchasing the girl for nine thousand gold pieces with the promise that she would become an accomplished mage. Ria, though excited to follow her dreams, was devastated that her parents let her go off with a stranger so easily. It was a heartbreak and betrayal she would never forget. Her new master, Jagar Tharn, would take her across Tamriel to the province of Morrowind, where he began her training.

JAGAR THARN
the imperial battlemage

MIXED | BATTLEMAGE | HE / HIM

Jagar Tharn was an elven battlemage born on the 22nd of date, 3E 353. He was a bastard child born of his father, the prestigious Lucius Tharn, and his Bosmeri servant. Lucius had been attending the province of Valenwood for political reasons, and became involved with a local servant. She had intended to keep the child a secret, however, Lucius was informed and promptly killed the servant for attempting to deceive him. He intended to kill the child, as well, but with no other heirs, and House Tharn on a deep decline, he chose to keep the child — which he soon found to be a terrible mistake. The boy was deeply disturbed from a very early age. The nursemaids who took care of him claimed that he was touched by The Dark, and his nature was that of a monster. As he grew older, he became violent with his nursemaids, and other servants. It became bad enough that Lucius sent his son away to the Temple of Seth in Camlorn, hoping that a priestly life would mend the boy's disposition. However, this act of betrayal only made the boy turn his violent thoughts towards his father. Some years later, at the age of 14, Jagar would travel back to Valenwood, and secretly murder his father. He dedicated his horrific deed to Sithis, and earned the dark favor of the chaotic deity. He returned to Camlorn, the last living of his line, and now housefather to House Tharn.
